artist embodied
There is a way to engage with your body & your art away from the ‘plan’ or external map - but rather dropping deep into the channel within.
Finding the version of you who knows.
Let’s meet in that place.
You can come to your body and your art from a place of grip and determination. The tight-lipped intention, I will do this. I will achieve this. This will get done. You know this way.
And there’s another way.
Where body and art work together. Where they come from the same place.
When you drop into your own flesh - and the truth of what is happening there - in order to find the true pace & voice of the thing that wants to be birthed through you.
Your art, your creation, no longer coming from have to or should.
But rather, from the deep well within your center.
Your juice and your aliveness.
Your artist in body.
For 6 weeks,
you are invited
to immerse yourself in the landscape of your woman.
To come with intention and vision, yes. But to suspend 'the plan,' the rule book, the external map. To find your own aliveness, the pulse of your own questions, by working directly with your physical & energetic body, Life and womb.
Come, claim the intention and let Life surprise you. Come find your own discernment, truth and pace.
And then emerge - changed - and with a deeper relationship with the thing wanting to be birthed through you. Your vision, your creation, your art.
See where you might spiral together - softer, wider, with a greater connection to You.
Hi Love, I’m Erica.
I have been dancing with my own inner artist for some time— my womb calling me back a decade ago to my own voice and story.
What started out as a surge of inspiration to write again turned into the stark remembrance of my power & voice. An innate ability to create.
Not all alone. Not through force and hustle.
But through turning towards my body. My womb. Discovering a range and a medicine that was entirely my own. And remaining open to where Life might lead me in return.
I saw how turning towards my body could radically change the relationship I had with her— the symptom expressions I had been feeling at the time, numbness, disconnection, pelvic pain now gone.
I saw how this birthed a faith in the world that I can’t always see. The way that Life expands when our bodies have the space to — both in the women I work with as a hands-on therapist and in my own.
In the middle of our first cohort of Artist Embodied, Life delivered another surprise. Twenty weeks into pregnancy and you are having twins.
These days, Life beckons for me to create with her from that place. The deeper one. The one that believes in miracles and possibility - and knows how to come back into the knowing in her center - to find my own elixir and craft.
Now, I workshop these tenets and practices every day. How to find your voice in the midst of so much unknown. How to find holding - while not holding too tight. How to find the creative pulse in your own flesh and form and stumble into belief again. How to come into fierce trust of self - and perhaps even let it be fun.
The taste, range and width of your woman. Who can be it all.
Remembering the magic in the everyday. Come play!

Beautiful. Let’s just start. Imagine these practices not as something you’re ‘doing to’ yourself but something you’re ‘doing with’ you. That means you get to follow your own pace, bodily cues, and yes and no. For some women, the practice will be less formal sequences and more stillness and holding. Imagine you’re starting a whole other level of conversation with your body now. This container will allow you to deepen in your own literacy of how your body [and art] wants to be met - now - and to let that evolve. To provide you with a whole menu of ways to do that.
-
All of these practices are meant to increase your bodily awareness on a more global scale, connect you to your inner artist— AND, meant to deliver real physiological benefit in working with the fascia and general matrix of your nervous system. Working with our breasts, bellies & pelvic tissue can decrease congestion, inflammation, numbness, scar tissue— all major players in common ‘diagnoses’ or symptoms. You will likely start to see a shift in symptom expression, as well as how you relate to these as a whole.
-
All calls will be held Tuesday evenings, 7:00-9:00p edt & 4:00-6:00p pdt. Our calls will be Tuesday, October 14; October 21; October 28; November 4.
We will also have a Q+A / workshopping call, the date to be decided as a group. Our final integration call will be Tuesday, November 18.
-
Each weekly class will be 2 hours, and then you choose how much time to devote in the interim. You will be given invitations to play with— in body and within your art/expression but you can’t ‘fall behind’; these will be offered as practices you come back to long after the container is over.
-
Yes, all calls will be recorded, though you are encouraged to make the Live to receive the full expression of the group. The recordings will be available to download for 2 cycles after our course completes.
-
I am offering 2 partial scholarships (50% off) this round; reach out if this would be helpful for you. I am also offering a payment plan for the regular pricing ($202 to be paid over 2 months).
-
The more you come into your body, the more your creative expression (or ‘inner artist’) will start to emerge. You will also be given the opportunity to consider a particular project, life transition, or intention in our time together — and to work with this alongside your bodywork as its own craft. To start to trust your whole life as your art, even in the moments you can’t fully feel it - and to learn how to move within that.
